Today is Cinco de Mayo! Why not celebrate with a tasty margarita at one of your favorite places around town? Here are some of the best margarita joints in Columbus.

Condado Tacos

Originally a build-your-own taco shop in Cleveland, Condado came to the Short North in late 2014. Now that spring is here, patrons can enjoy the warm weather and a cold margarita on the 90-seat patio located at 1227 N. High Street in the former Circus Bar building. This is a great eatery for OSU students, visitors and Columbus residents alike. Open every day at noon, customers can customize their orders by filling out order forms with the type of meat, shell, toppings and sauce they would like.
Happy Hour: Half-off all margaritas and $1 off tacos Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

La Fogota

Right in the center of the Short North, La Fogata is best known for its welcoming and large front patio and wide selection of margarita flavors that range from blood orange to cactus pear. It is located at 790 N. High Street between Haiku Poetic Food and Art and Union Café. It offers the typical Mexican cuisine as well as all the chips and salsa you can eat. With various tequila flavors, you can enjoy your margs frozen or on the rocks.
Happy Hour:
You can enjoy half-off all margaritas from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day. You can also take advantage of Margarita Monday every week.

Cantina

A laid-back restaurant located at 491 N. Park Street, Park Street Cantina is another solid option for margaritas after work on Cinco de Mayo. With an outdoor patio, tequila bar, sports bar and dance club, it has a little something for everyone. Since Cinco de Mayo is on a Tuesday this year, don’t miss out on Taco Tuesday.
Happy Hour: Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can get 32-ounce pitchers.

Bakersfield

Bakersfield is another Short North hot spot that offers Tex-Mex street fare and a wide selection of tequila and whiskey. An open patio and wide-set windows that open on a warm day make this place feel spacious and airy. Arrive early because seating goes quickly here!
Happy Hour: Don’t miss $6 Mason Jar Margaritas, $3 daily chalkshots and $2 pints of PBR.
